Burgundy Maguerite Italian Wool Sweater Knit

Elegant and romantic oversized knitted-in daisies, and delicate branches form a broad border, against a dramatic burgundy background, deadstock from an Italian mill. Brushed felted/boiled wool knit features a 42" border along one side and knitted in decorative selvedge along the other edge.  Mid/heavyweight, stable, cozy, with a lightly brushed soft hand, flat and smooth knit on the back side, crosswise stretch, and a soft lightly structural drape. No raveling, so seam finish is optional and sewing is easy Right for a sweater, tunic, cardigan, light jacket or coat, vest or hoodie. 

Dry clean. Test a swatch if you want to hand-launder and air-dry. Steam press before sewing to remove any residual shrinkage.
